The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the West Henderson Falcons (Hendersonville, NC) and the visiting Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC), observed West Henderson's basketball team overcome Smoky Mountain by a margin of 47-28.

The Falcons (8-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Pisgah (Canton, NC). The Bears come into the challenge with a 9-2 record. In their last challenge, Pisgah dropped by Franklin (Franklin, NC), 39-23, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Robbinsville Black Knights (Robbinsville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Smoky Mountain will attempt to better on its 2-6 season record.
