The Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Central Academy Cougars (Monroe, NC), 49-9 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Bearcats now possess a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Parkwood for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. Anson will play a Wolf Pack team coming off a 54-47 non-league loss to West Stanly (Oakboro, NC). The Wolf Pack record now stands at 3-6.
With the loss, Central Academy falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Cougars host Piedmont (Monroe, NC) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 10. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 5-6.
