In Friday's non-league contest, the host Burns Bulldogs basketball team scored a big 65-17 triumph over the Cherryville Ironmen.
The Bulldogs (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against Polk County (Columbus, NC). The Wolverines go into the non-league contest with a 0-7 record.
In their next game, the Ironmen confront the East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Cherryville will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record.
