The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Garner Trojans (Garner, NC) and the host Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC), observed Garner's basketball team overwhelm Clayton by a margin of 61-34.

The Trojans (9-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Bengals come into the challenge with a 11-2 record. In their last challenge, Fuquay - Varina trounced Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC), 67-54, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Comets battle the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs (Raleigh, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Clayton will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 67-54 league loss to Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC).
