In Friday's league contest, the host Spanish Springs Cougars basketball team scored a good 59-40 triumph over the Galena Grizzlies.
The Cougars (12-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop Manogue (Reno, NV). The Miners go into the contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Bishop Manogue topped McQueen (Reno, NV), 57-32, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Grizzlies confront the Douglas Tigers (Minden, NV) in a contest, on Monday, January 6. Galena will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 7-4 record after their 64-52 non-league loss to Reno (Reno, NV).
