The Morehead Panthers basketball squad (Eden, NC), was outscored 64-49 in Friday's league battle with the host West Stokes Wildcats (King, NC)
With the victory, West Stokes advances its record to 6-4 on the year. The Wildcats host Starmount (Boonville, NC) to meet the Rams in a non-league battle on Saturday, January 4. The Rams enter the battle with a record of 4-5. Starmount lost 65-31 in their recent non-league battle against West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC)
The Panthers now own a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host McMichael for a battle on Tuesday, January 7. Morehead will meet a Phoenix squad coming off a 55-47 non-league loss to Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC). The Phoenix record now stands at 3-5.
