In Monday's league outing, the Alamogordo Tigers (Alamogordo, NM) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Gadsden Panthers (Anthony, NM), by a count of 77-33.

The Tigers (8-9) will now prepare for their outing against Carlsbad (Carlsbad, NM). The Cavemen go into the non-league outing with a 13-7 record. In their last outing, Carlsbad smashed Roswell (Roswell, NM), 56-40, in a league outing.

The Panthers now hold a 4-15 record. They play next when they travel to Organ Mountain for a 5A District 3 outing on Thursday, February 2. Gadsden will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 63-53 league win over Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM). The Knights record now stands at 17-3.
