Arizona High School Basketball - Apache Junction beaten by Cortez

The Cortez Colts ran past the visiting Apache Junction Prospectors basketball team by a final score of 50-41 in Monday's league game.

In their next game, the Colts face the Coronado Dons (Scottsdale, AZ) in a 4A Black Canyon game, on Wednesday, February 1. Cortez will attempt to move on its 9-16 season record. The Dons enter the game with a 10-12 record after their 73-49 league loss to Dysart (El Mirage, AZ).

With the defeat, Apache Junction moves to 2-23 on the year. The Prospectors host Tempe (Tempe, AZ) to face the Buffaloes in a 4A Black Canyon game on Wednesday, February 1. The Buffaloes enter the game with a record of 8-15. Tempe won 58-53 in their recent league game against Vista Grande (Casa Grande, AZ)
