Oregon High School Basketball - Corbett thwarts Rainier

The Corbett Cardinals (Corbett, OR) basketball knocked off the visiting Rainier Columbians (Rainier, OR), 68-48 in Monday's league test.
The Cardinals (3-15) will now prepare for their test against Yamhill-Carlton (Yamhill, OR). The Tigers go into the 3A Coastal Range test with a 12-7 record. In their last test, Yamhill-Carlton notched a victory over Warrenton (Warrenton, OR), 54-53, in a league test.
The Columbians now own a 2-14 record. They play next when they travel to Banks for a 3A Coastal Range test on Wednesday, February 1. Rainier will encounter a Braves squad coming off a 60-27 league win over Neah-Kah-Nie (Rockaway Beach, OR). The Braves record now stands at 15-4.
