Glascock County Panthers (Gibson, GA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host John Hancock Academy Rebels (Sparta, GA), 48-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Glascock County upgrades its record to 1-12 on the season. The Panthers travel to Hancock Central (Sparta, GA) to play the Bulldogs in a A D2 Region 5 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 10-6. Hancock Central won 74-64 in their recent non-league bout against Washington County (Sandersville, GA)

Next up, the Rebels play the St. George's (Milner, GA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. John Hancock Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record. The go into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 71-51 non-league loss to Rock Springs Christian Academy (Milner, GA).
