The Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Knights basketball team scored 97 points and held the visiting Madelia Blackhawks to 39 in the Knights non-league triumph on Monday.
The Knights now sport a 15-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nicollet for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 2. Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial will battle a Raiders team coming off a 64-38 non-league loss to Tri-City United [Montgomery-Lonsdale/Le Center] (Montgomery, MN). The Raiders record now stands at 0-14.
The Blackhawks (3-12) will now prepare for their contest against Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman (Granada, MN). The Jaguars enter the A Section 2 contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman triumphed over Alden-Conger (Alden, MN), 70-45, in a league contest.
