Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Newport topped by Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy

The Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy WolfPack basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the host Newport Buffaloes to 48 in the WolfPack league victory on Monday.

The WolfPack now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Juniata Valley for a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 1. Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy will battle a Hornets team coming off a 75-56 league win over Curwensville (Curwensville, PA). The Hornets record now stands at 9-8.

The Buffaloes (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Midd-West (Middleburg, PA). The Mustangs come into the non-league contest with a 2-14 record. In their last contest, Midd-West was defeated by Lewisburg (Lewisburg, PA), 59-30, in a non-league contest.
