Arizona High School Basketball - Safford can't hold off Round Valley

The Round Valley Elks basketball team scored 41 points and restricted the visiting Safford Bulldogs to 36 in the Elks non-league victory on Monday.
The Elks now sport a 15-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Johns for a 2A North contest on Tuesday, January 31. Round Valley will battle a Redskins team coming off a 70-37 league win over Hopi (Keams Canyon, AZ). The Redskins record now stands at 12-12.
The Bulldogs (11-13) will now prepare for their contest against Sabino (Tucson, AZ). The Sabercats come into the 3A South contest with a 12-11 record. In their last contest, Sabino edged Empire (Tucson, AZ), 86-47, in a league contest.
