Armstrong Trojans (Armstrong, IL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hoopeston Cornjerkers (Hoopeston, IL), 41-14 in a league bout.

With the victory, Armstrong upgrades its record to 18-9 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Chrisman (Chrisman, IL) to play the Cardinals in a Vermilion Valley bout on Thursday, February 2. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 4-22. Chrisman lost 43-19 in their recent league bout against Westville (Westville, IL)

Next up, the Cornjerkers play the Watseka Warriors (Watseka, IL) in a Vermilion Valley bout, on Thursday, February 2. Hoopeston will attempt to upgrade on its 13-13 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 21-5 record after their 45-33 league loss to Salt Fork (Sidell, IL).
