Slidell Greyhounds (Slidell, TX) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bellevue Eagles (Bellevue, TX), 55-17 in a league bout.

With the victory, Slidell upgrades its record to 25-3 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Midway (Henrietta, TX) to play the Falcons in a 1A Region III District 22 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 12-18. Midway lost 42-39 in their recent league bout against Bellevue (Bellevue, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Midway Falcons (Henrietta, TX) in a 1A Region III District 22 bout, on Friday, February 3. Bellevue will attempt to upgrade on its 2-15 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 12-17 record after their 41-32 league win over Prairie Valley (Nocona, TX).
