The Santa Rita Eagles basketball team (Tucson, AZ), was overwhelmed 53-16 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Bisbee Pumas (Bisbee, AZ)
The Pumas now possess a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Morenci for a 2A East battle on Thursday, February 2. Bisbee will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 51-43 league loss to Tombstone (Tombstone, AZ). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-11.
The Eagles (1-12) will now prepare for their battle against Pima (Pima, AZ). The Roughriders come into the 2A East battle with a 21-2 record. In their last battle, Pima trounced Willcox (Willcox, AZ), 59-23, in a league battle.
