The Conant Orioles basketball team scored 39 points and held the visiting Gilford Golden Eagles to 20 in the Orioles league triumph on Monday.
The Orioles now sport a 6-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hillsboro-Deering for a Division III contest on Tuesday, January 31. Conant will battle a Hillcats team coming off a 58-30 league loss to St. Thomas Aquinas (Dover, NH). The Hillcats record now stands at 1-7.
The Golden Eagles (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Prospect Mountain (Alton, NH). The Timberwolves enter the Division III contest with a 7-2 record. In their last contest, Prospect Mountain ran past Newfound Regional (Bristol, NH), 48-42, in a league contest.
