In Monday's league outing, the Diagonal Maroons (Diagonal, IA) basketball squad felled the host Orient-Macksburg Bulldogs (Orient, IA), by a margin of 45-29.

The Maroons (10-8) will now prepare for their outing against Lamoni (Lamoni, IA). The Demons go into the Bluegrass outing with a 8-8 record. In their last outing, Lamoni thwarted Cainsville (Cainsville, MO), 51-35, in a non-league outing.

The Bulldogs now own a 5-12 record. They play next when they travel to Mormon Trail for a Bluegrass outing on Tuesday, January 31. Orient-Macksburg will encounter a Saints squad coming off a 44-39 league loss to Melcher-Dallas (Melcher, IA). The Saints record now stands at 8-5.
