Donovan Catholic Griffins (Toms River, NJ) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Monmouth Regional Falcons (Tinton Falls, NJ), 40-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Donovan Catholic upgrades its record to 5-11 on the season.

Next up, the Falcons play the Henry Hudson Admirals (Highlands, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 1. Monmouth Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Admirals go into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 53-13 league loss to Point Pleasant Beach (Point Pleasant Beach, NJ).
