In Monday's non-league outing, the Grundy Golden Wave (Grundy, VA) basketball squad edged the visiting Tazewell Bulldogs (Tazewell, VA), by a margin of 57-54.
The Golden Wave (9-11) will now prepare for their outing against Twin Valley (Pilgrims Knob, VA). The Panthers go into the Black Diamond outing with a 13-5 record. In their last outing, Twin Valley held off Hurley (Hurley, VA), 64-23, in a league outing.
The Bulldogs now own a 6-12 record. They play next when they travel to Marion for a Southwest outing on Tuesday, January 31. Tazewell will clash with a Scarlet Hurricanes squad coming off a 57-36 non-league win over Lebanon (Lebanon, VA). The Scarlet Hurricanes record now stands at 12-4.
