The Ontonagon Gladiators (Ontonagon, MI) basketball nipped the host Wright Red Devils (Ironwood, MI), 38-31 in Monday's league test.

The Gladiators (9-5) will now prepare for their test against Johnston (Bessemer, MI). The Speedboys go into the non-league test with a 2-13 record. In their last test, Johnston was tipped by Dollar Bay (Dollar Bay, MI), 54-39, in a league test.

The Red Devils now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Wakefield for a Copper Mountain test on Thursday, February 2. Wright will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 56-40 non-league loss to Jeffers (Painesdale, MI). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-12.
