New York High School Basketball - Salmon River can't hold off Potsdam

The Potsdam Sandstoners basketball team scored 46 points and held the host Salmon River Shamrocks to 41 in the Sandstoners league triumph on Monday.
The Sandstoners now sport a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Canton for a Section 10 Central contest on Thursday, February 2. Potsdam will battle a Golden Bears team coming off a 43-36 league win over Massena (Massena, NY). The Golden Bears record now stands at 10-5.
The Shamrocks (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Norwood-Norfolk (Norwood, NY). The Flyers enter the non-league contest with a 2-11 record. In their last contest, Norwood-Norfolk was nudged by Ogdensburg Free Academy (Ogdensburg, NY), 56-39, in a non-league contest.
