Illinois High School Basketball - Reed-Custer fells Wilmington

January 30, 2023: Wilmington, IL 60481

Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, IL), 43-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Reed-Custer upgrades its record to 13-15 on the season. The Comets host Coal City (Coal City, IL) to play the Coalers in a Illinois Central 8 bout on Thursday, February 2. The Coalers go into the bout with a record of 19-6. Coal City won 63-60 in their recent league bout against Herscher (Herscher, IL)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Dwight Trojans (Dwight, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Wilmington will attempt to upgrade on its 10-14 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 7-16 record after their 50-45 league win over Midland (Varna, IL).
