Rhode Island High School Basketball - Scituate can't hold off Westerly

The Westerly Bulldogs basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Scituate Spartans to 50 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Monday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 6-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Juanita Sanchez Complex for a State Championship contest on Wednesday, February 1. Westerly will battle a Cavaliers team coming off a 49-38 league win over Barrington (Barrington, RI). The Cavaliers record now stands at 12-2.
The Spartans (1-12) will now prepare for their contest against Juanita Sanchez Complex (Providence, RI). The Cavaliers enter the State Championship contest with a 13-2 record. In their last contest, Juanita Sanchez Complex nudged Westerly (Westerly, RI), 60-26, in a league contest.
