Windham Whippets (Willimantic, CT) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Stonington Bears (Stonington, CT), 57-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Windham upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Whippets travel to Wheeler (North Stonington, CT) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 3-9. Wheeler lost 31-26 in their recent league bout against St. Bernard (Uncasville, CT)

Next up, the Bears play the Putnam Clippers (Putnam, CT) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Stonington will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Clippers go into the bout with a 6-9 record after their 33-11 league win over Tourtellotte (North Grosvenordale, CT).
