In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Mira Costa Mustangs basketball team scored a tight 49-44 triumph over the South Spartans.
In their next game, the Mustangs meet the Santa Monica Vikings (Santa Monica, CA) in a match, on Tuesday, January 31. Mira Costa will attempt to move on its 20-3 season record. The Vikings enter the match with a 5-10 record after their 31-24 league loss to Redondo Union (Redondo Beach, CA).
