The Archbishop Mitty Monarchs basketball team scored 66 points and held the host Saint Francis Lancers to 27 in the Monarchs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Monarchs now sport a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory for a West Catholic contest on Friday, February 2. Archbishop Mitty will battle a Fightin' Irish team coming off a 75-55 league loss to St. Ignatius College Preparatory (San Francisco, CA). The Fightin' Irish record now stands at 9-11.

The Lancers (3-17) will now prepare for their contest against St. Ignatius College Preparatory (San Francisco, CA). The Wildcats enter the West Catholic contest with a 15-5 record. In their last contest, St. Ignatius College Preparatory triumphed over Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory (San Francisco, CA), 75-55, in a league contest.
