Iowa High School Basketball - Assumption can't hold off Muscatine

The Muscatine Muskies basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Assumption Knights to 47 in the Muskies league triumph on Tuesday.
The Muskies now sport a 4-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Davenport Central for a Mississippi contest on Thursday, February 1. Muscatine will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 57-46 non-league loss to Bettendorf (Bettendorf, IA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 6-11.
The Knights (11-9) will now prepare for their contest against Pleasant Valley (Pleasant Valley, IA). The Spartans enter the Mississippi contest with a 12-4 record. In their last contest, Pleasant Valley nudged North Scott (Eldridge, IA), 53-36, in a league contest.
