Brown County Hornets (Mt. Sterling, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Augusta Southeastern Suns (Augusta, IL), 47-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Brown County upgrades its record to 4-17 on the season. The Hornets host Pittsfield (Pittsfield, IL) to play the Saukees in a non-league bout on Friday, February 2. The Saukees go into the bout with a record of 16-7. Pittsfield lost 46-41 in their recent non-league bout against Seymour (Payson, IL)

Next up, the Suns play the Mendon Unity Mustangs (Mendon, IL) in a West Central bout, on Friday, February 2. Augusta Southeastern will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 13-10 record after their 56-46 league win over Camp Point Central (Camp Point, IL).
