Gateway Olympians (Aurora, CO) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Aurora Central Trojans (Aurora, CO), 72-64 in a league bout.

With the victory, Gateway upgrades its record to 9-9 on the campaign. The Olympians host Thornton (Thornton, CO) to play the Trojans in a 5A/4A Colorado bout on Thursday, February 1. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 10-7. Thornton won 78-48 in their recent non-league bout against Kennedy (Denver, CO)

Next up, the Trojans play the Adams City Eagles (Commerce City, CO) in a 5A/4A Colorado bout, on Thursday, February 1. Aurora Central will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 8-9 record after their 65-30 league win over Skyview (Thornton, CO).
