Livingston Lancers (Livingston, NJ) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Barringer Blue Bears (Newark, NJ), 44-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Livingston upgrades its record to 10-10 on the campaign. The Lancers host Shabazz (Newark, NJ) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 9-9. Shabazz won 65-56 in their recent non-league bout against Nutley (Nutley, NJ)

Next up, the Blue Bears play the West Caldwell Tech Eagles (West Caldwell, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. Barringer will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record.
