Belle Vernon Leopards (Belle Vernon, PA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Uniontown Red Raiders (Uniontown, PA), 69-65 in a league bout.

With the victory, Belle Vernon upgrades its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Leopards travel to Laurel Highlands (Uniontown, PA) to play the Mustangs in a WPIAL 4A 3 bout on Friday, February 2. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 2-17. Laurel Highlands lost 82-54 in their recent league bout against Albert Gallatin (Uniontown, PA)

Next up, the Red Raiders play the Southmoreland Scotties (Alverton, PA) in a WPIAL 4A 3 bout, on Friday, February 2. Uniontown will attempt to upgrade on its 15-3 season record. The Scotties come into the bout with a 14-5 record after their 83-63 league loss to Elizabeth Forward (Elizabeth, PA).
