Texas High School Basketball - Richland ripped by Birdville

The Birdville Hawks basketball team scored 91 points and held the visiting Richland Royals to 49 in the Hawks league triumph on Tuesday.
The Hawks now sport a 16-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Colleyville Heritage for a 5A Region I District 7 contest on Friday, February 2. Birdville will battle a Panthers team coming off a 48-31 league win over Lake Dallas (Corinth, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 23-5.
The Royals (4-21) will now prepare for their contest against Ryan (Denton, TX). The Raiders enter the 5A Region I District 7 contest with a 17-8 record. In their last contest, Ryan triumphed over Argyle (Argyle, TX), 52-34, in a league contest.
