Briarfield Academy Rebels (Lake Providence, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Claiborne Academy Rebels (Haynesville, LA), 50-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Briarfield Academy upgrades its record to 18-2 on the season.

Next up, the Rebels clash with the Riverdale Academy Rebels (Coushatta, LA) in a MAIS 2A District 4 bout, on Friday, February 2. Claiborne Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 7-10 record after their 67-64 league loss to Union Christian Academy (Farmerville, LA).
