Georgia High School Basketball - Cook holds off Brooks County

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Cook Hornets (Adel, GA) and the visiting Brooks County Trojans (Quitman, GA), saw Cook's basketball squad hold off Brooks County by a tally of 61-55.

With the victory, Cook improves its record to 10-10 on the campaign. The Hornets host Dodge County (Eastman, GA) to confront the Indians in a AA Region 1 challenge on Friday, February 2. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 17-2. Dodge County won 75-49 in their recent league challenge against Jeff Davis (Hazlehurst, GA)

Next up, the Trojans confront the Bacon County Raiders (Alma, GA) in a A D1 Region 1 challenge, on Friday, February 2. Brooks County will attempt to improve on its 5-15 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 55-52 league loss to Irwin County (Ocilla, GA).
