The Cubs now possess a 21-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Muleshoe for a 3A Region I District 3 battle on Friday, February 2. Brownfield will battle a Mules team coming off a 58-48 league win over Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX). The Mules record now stands at 5-13.

The Chieftans (13-16) will now prepare for their battle against Littlefield (Littlefield, TX). The Wildcats come into the 3A Region I District 3 battle with a 24-3 record. In their last battle, Littlefield trounced Lamesa (Lamesa, TX), 74-36, in a league battle.
