Jena Giants (Jena, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Caldwell Parish Spartans (Columbia, LA), 36-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Jena upgrades its record to 8-9 on the season. The Giants travel to Bolton (Alexandria, LA) to play the Bears in a 3A District 2 bout on Friday, February 2. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 4-16. Bolton lost 61-43 in their recent league bout against Marksville (Marksville, LA)

Next up, the Spartans play the Bunkie Panthers (Bunkie, LA) in a 3A District 2 bout, on Friday, February 2. Caldwell Parish will attempt to upgrade on its 11-9 season record.
