Jackson Christian Royals (Jackson, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Calhoun Christian Cougars (Battle Creek, MI), 50-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jackson Christian upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Royals host Waldron (Waldron, MI) to play the Spartans in a Southern Central bout on Friday, February 2. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 7-5.

Next up, the Cougars play the Factoryville Christian (Athens, MI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. Calhoun Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 65-32 league loss to Marshall Academy (Marshall, MI).
