Ponder Lions (Ponder, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Callisburg Wildcats (Gainesville, TX), 86-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Ponder upgrades its record to 17-6 on the season. The Lions travel to Whitesboro (Whitesboro, TX) to play the Bearcats in a 3A Region II District 10 bout on Friday, February 2. The Bearcats go into the bout with a record of 17-9. Whitesboro won 66-37 in their recent league bout against Valley View (Valley View, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Pilot Point Bearcats (Pilot Point, TX) in a 3A Region II District 10 bout, on Friday, February 2. Callisburg will attempt to upgrade on its 4-20 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 7-14 record after their 75-49 league loss to Paradise (Paradise, TX).
