Groves Rebels (Garden City, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Calvary Day Cavaliers (Savannah, GA), 70-66 in a league bout.

With the win, Groves upgrades its record to 11-11 on the season. The Rebels travel to Beach (Savannah, GA) to play the Bulldogs in a AAA Region 3 bout on Saturday, February 3. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 7-15. Beach lost 52-51 in their recent league bout against Johnson (Savannah, GA)

Next up, the Cavaliers play the Long County Blue Tide (Ludowici, GA) in a AAA Region 3 bout, on Friday, February 2. Calvary Day will attempt to upgrade on its 7-13 season record. The Blue Tide go into the bout with a 16-5 record after their 63-40 league win over Savannah Christian (Savannah, GA).
