Carthage Bulldogs (Carthage, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Henderson Lions (Henderson, TX), 48-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Carthage upgrades its record to 3-15 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Kilgore (Kilgore, TX) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 4A Region III District 17 bout on Friday, February 2. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 10-10. Kilgore won 63-36 in their recent league bout against Henderson (Henderson, TX)

Next up, the Lions clash with the Center Roughriders (Center, TX) in a 4A Region III District 17 bout, on Friday, February 2. Henderson will attempt to upgrade on its 2-26 season record. The Roughriders go into the bout with a 16-9 record after their 55-36 league win over Gilmer (Gilmer, TX).
