The Centennial Cougars basketball team scored 64 points and restricted the host Elk River Elks to 49 in the Cougars non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Cougars now sport a 6-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blaine for a AAAA Section 7 contest on Thursday, February 1. Centennial will battle a Bengals team coming off a 89-85 non-league loss to Rogers (Rogers, MN). The Bengals record now stands at 4-14.
The Elks (3-13) will now prepare for their contest against Andover (Andover, MN). The Huskies come into the non-league contest with a 5-12 record. In their last contest, Andover dropped by Spring Lake Park (Spring Lake Park, MN), 79-52, in a non-league contest.
