Southeast Warren Warhawks (Liberty Center, IA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Central Decatur Cardinals (Leon, IA), 45-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Southeast Warren upgrades its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Warhawks host Bedford (Bedford, IA) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Friday, February 2. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a record of 16-2.

The Cardinals (10-8) will now prepare for their battle against Mount Ayr (Mount Ayr, IA). The Raiders come into the Pride of Iowa battle with a 14-6 record. In their last battle, Mount Ayr edged Nodaway Valley (Greenfield, IA), 67-42, in a league battle.
