The Newman Catholic Knights (Mason City, IA) basketball felled the host Central Springs Panthers (Manly, IA), 74-63 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Knights (13-6) will now prepare for their test against St. Ansgar (St. Ansgar, IA). The Saints go into the non-league test with a 12-6 record. In their last test, St. Ansgar thwarted Northwood-Kensett (Northwood, IA), 70-60, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 6-11 record. They play next when they host New Hampton for a non-league test on Thursday, February 1. Central Springs will encounter a Chickasaws squad coming off a 43-42 non-league loss to Columbus (Waterloo, IA). The Chickasaws record now stands at 1-15.
