Jackson South Side Hawks (Jackson, TN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Chester County Eagles (Henderson, TN), 60-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Jackson South Side upgrades its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Hawks host Jackson North Side (Jackson, TN) to play the Indians in a 3A District 12 bout on Friday, February 2. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 7-8.

Next up, the Eagles play the McNairy Central Bobcats (Selmer, TN) in a 3A District 12 bout, on Friday, February 2. Chester County will attempt to upgrade on its 17-2 season record. The Bobcats come into the bout with a 6-10 record after their 57-36 league loss to Hardin County (Savannah, TN).
