Chiefland Indians (Chiefland, FL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lafayette Hornets (Mayo, FL), 62-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Chiefland upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Indians travel to Hawthorne (Hawthorne, FL) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 13-4. Hawthorne won 69-25 in their recent non-league bout against Trenton (Trenton, FL)

Next up, the Hornets play the Suwannee Bulldogs (Live Oak, FL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. Lafayette will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 9-12 record after their 60-52 non-league loss to Columbia (Lake City, FL).
