Texas High School Basketball - College Station can't hold off Magnolia West

The Magnolia West Mustangs basketball team scored 50 points and held the host College Station Cougars to 49 in the Mustangs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 4-21 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brenham for a 5A Region III District 21 contest on Friday, February 2. Magnolia West will battle a Cubs team coming off a 70-57 league loss to Montgomery (Montgomery, TX). The Cubs record now stands at 21-8.

The Cougars (17-8) will now prepare for their contest against Rudder (Bryan, TX). The Rangers enter the 5A Region III District 21 contest with a 14-15 record. In their last contest, Rudder was nudged by A&M Consolidated (College Station, TX), 71-48, in a league contest.
