Columbus Falcons (Columbus, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Warren Central Vikings (Vicksburg, MS), 84-76 in a league bout.

With the win, Columbus upgrades its record to 18-7 on the season. The Falcons travel to Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS) to clash with the Rockets in a 6A Region 2 bout on Friday, February 2. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 14-12. Neshoba Central lost 91-66 in their recent league bout against Callaway (Jackson, MS)

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Vicksburg Gators (Vicksburg, MS) in a 6A Region 2 bout, on Friday, February 2. Warren Central will attempt to upgrade on its 12-14 season record. The Gators go into the bout with a 19-5 record after their 77-57 league loss to Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS).
