The Corvallis Spartans basketball team scored 78 points and held the host McKay Royal Scots to 71 in the Spartans league triumph on Tuesday.

The Spartans now sport a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dallas for a 5A Mid-Willamette contest on Friday, February 2. Corvallis will meet a Dragons team coming off a 75-47 league loss to West Albany (Albany, OR). The Dragons record now stands at 3-13.

The Royal Scots (4-12) will now prepare for their contest against Crescent Valley (Corvallis, OR). The Raiders enter the 5A Mid-Willamette contest with a 2-14 record. In their last contest, Crescent Valley was nudged by South Albany (Albany, OR), 72-45, in a league contest.
