Cumberland Clippers (Cumberland, RI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mt. Pleasant Kilties (Providence, RI), 57-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Cumberland upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Clippers travel to Smithfield (Esmond, RI) to clash with the Sentinels in a Division 1 bout on Thursday, February 1. The Sentinels go into the bout with a record of 6-8. Smithfield lost 62-40 in their recent league bout against Bishop Hendricken (Warwick, RI)

Next up, the Kilties clash with the Bishop Hendricken Hawks (Warwick, RI) in a Division 1 bout, on Thursday, February 1. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 10-5 record after their 62-40 league win over Smithfield (Esmond, RI).
